Hiçbir insan yasadışı değildir!

"Nobel barış ödülünü geri veriyoruz" - AB'nin insan iadesi politikalarının ölümlere neden olduğunu kabul ettikten sonra AB Komisyon Başkanı Jean-Claude Junker   Nazi'ler gizlice falafel yer.  Tilki akıllıyken aptal'a yatar, Nazi tam tersini yapar.

Image
It will be a tough game for me. On the one side the country I love without an aparrent reason ever since childhood. On the other my Wahlheimat for 5 years. In the end I will not be sad, but for sure I'll be thrilled if Messi gets the final trophy he's been after... PS: Here is a better version of Argentinian fans singing the same chant on Copacabana

Democracy is coming ...

Image
Democracy is the mother of all buzzwords. From totalitarian regimes calling themselves the real democrats (German Democratic Republic, Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea) to the so called advanced democracies such as US, where the wealthy are simply rewriting rules for themselves (1), or Germany, where the state recklessly lets the police attack peaceful protesters who are protesting the construction in their own city(2), the word democracy is used to whitewash practices that are directly contrary to what the democracy supposed to mean. Add to this the dangerous Western (mostly American) international relations rhetoric, that democracy is a panacea that would magically cure all the worlds problems. Although it is not logical, and perhaps not ethical, to choose any other form of government over democracy, it is certainly not realistic to believe democracy is a solution to any problem. In my humble opinion, it is only a tool, or a mere set of practices, that lets people solve probl...

Almanya Oynadi, Türkiye Kazandi - 17 Haziran 1951

Almanya ve Türkiye Futbol Milli Takimlari arasindaki ilk mac 17 Haziran 1951 yilinda bugünkü gibi Berlin Olimpiyat Stadinda oynanmis. Savas sonrasi Berlin'inin belini dogrultmaya calistigi yillardaki ilk milli mac olmasindan da kaynakli 90.000 seyirciye oynanan maci Türkiye milli takimi 2-1 kazanmis.

The German efficiency is still working. No matter how strong/weak Australia was, the performance of this young and new team is remarkable, or as the Germans would put it "bemerkenswert". However, I couldn't enjoy the game, rather the post-game as much as I could. In Germany, World Cup is broadcast on two channels alternatively. ZDF and ARD. In ARD, there is the cult football commentary duo Gerhard Delling and Günther Netzer. They are by far the most hilarious thing I watched on German TV. In ZDF, a serious old lady and Oliver Kahn, whose nickname was the Gorilla. No wonder I prefer ARD. Netzter was the first super-star of German football. A Porsche driving, night-club owning player from the small German town Mönchengladbach, lead his team to trophies in Germany and Europe. He was transferred to Real Madrid as the first German player in the Spanish side. He went on to become a media entrepreneur, marketing sports tournaments to media companies. He's a clever guy w...

Besiktas Demiroreni Kovuyor!

Reflections from a German Election PART II

Image
Lennin's back. At least his beard. Time for spritual politics! New Age postmodernists unite! He's not a candidate. I wish he where. Thuan's role model. We are not enemies of the foreigners. We are friends of Germans. Nazisim in disguise.

Reflections From A German Election Part I

German democracy is interesting. A woman will be the prime minister, and her coalition party is headed by an openly homosexual liberal. The next candidate of SPD may also be gay. The president of the Greens, which made a historic leap, is Turkish. Yet there are still racist banners on the streets. Immigrant politicians receive polite letters from the National Democratic Party to leave the country. Here is a first part of my collection of interesting electtion banners: Want to get rid of Bayern? Vote Bayern Party. Islamisation? No thank you. Note the red and white headscarf. Very welcoming. Best Football Song I've Listened

Die Toten Hosen is the best German Punk band without question. They are also hardcore Fortuna Düsseldorf Fans, who at one point financed the transfer a player for the club. They have a great song about the bad guys in German football, F.C. Bayern Munchen. I had the time on my daily subway commute to translate this great song: There are not many things in this world, To hold on to, Some say its love, maybe they've got a point, There is always god, when there's no one else left, Some believe in nothing, life's hardened them up, So many things can happen, So many things, There is only one thing I am sure of, I would never play for Bayern! If I were 20 yeras old, and super talented, And Real Madrid had knocked on my door, Along with Man United, I had already played for Germany, And mentally top fit, If Uli Hoeness -Bayern Manager- would stand on my door, I wouldn't open my door, Cause its out of the question for me, To play for a club like Bayern, Their character is spoiled...

Die Frau Koma Kommt (*)

So spoke the school director on the "lautsprecher", which was not "lauter" than the pistol shots. 10 young souls, they won't dream, love, get old or even die anymore. Once you die, you die. For what? For what? Don't tell me there is purpose in this world. Mein herzliches Beileid, to all the families, to all Germany... (*) The code for a Amok warning. Yes, they had procedures for this case too. Which probably saved many many more young souls.

Rechtsstaat - Hukuk Devleti

Image
Kita Avrupasi felsefesinde devletin sahip oldugu güc monopolisinin temellerini kurmak icin kullanilan üc kavram vardir. ...

My Favorite German Word...

... is die Bö. Means a sudden short lived strong wind. Check it out in the dictionary if you don't believe me.

Weird things...

are happening in Turkey and in Germany... Turkey is recovering slowly from the trauma caused by the surge of attacks by the Kurdish-separatist terrorist who call themselves, PKK, Kurdistan Workers Party. For those outside Turkey, and following the news from international news conglomerates, the name is an intended oxymoron. PKK is a "party" in the same sense that Nazis were a National Socialist party. In the very last attack, in which they killed 16 Turkish soldiers -in their spare time they stop village buses and kill dozens of civilians just because they do not support them -, PKK took 8 Turkish soldiers as hostage. They were freed after involvement of certain members of the Parliament who have active links to this terrorist organization. In an unexpected move the 8 soldiers were arrested by the Military Court... The events are rich with speculation possibilities, and have to be clarified to the public. 8 Soldiers were used as a justification for a possible incursion to the...

The Mighty 80s

My dear friend Thuan, who is the president of America David Hassellhof Fan Association, got my attention to these two great music videos from the 80s. I have to not down that the Germans, to this date, dance to the second tune in discos.

In the search of an Ohrwurm

German's call the tunes that stick to your ear and play there until you can recall their name (and download from the net) Ohrwurm - ear worm. I was stricken with such a Ohrwurm syndrome which lasted about a week, and found it in the end. From 1999 Blessid Union of Souls hails with Hey Leonardo ( She Likes Me For Me) On my search on youtube I came across another tune I was searching, whose video was elected one of youtube greatest hits:

Travel Report: Nürnberg and Amberg

Image
I visited Mehmet Yagli in Amberg, my uni-mate. Okan, my toprak, joined from Stuttgart. I joined them actually, as Okan arrived in Nürnberg earlier. Here is a small illustrated report. Started off in a Mexican Restaurant, which was owned by a Greek, but run by a Slovenian, with Turkish bar keepers. The drinks were pretty cheap. I told a girl that she had an nice accent in German, and asked where she came from. Answer? A village 30 minutes away. Got to know the Frenkish accent better... (For those who don't know which one is who, Yagli is the one with the more girlie drink.) Then for some reason, I have serious reasons to think that it had to do with alcohol, spent rest of the evening asking literally everyone on the street what to do in Nürnberg on a Friday night. I did not give up even if everyone answered with Mach 1. Well we ended up going there, only to find out that it is another crappy multi floor multi genre club for people with exceptional music tastes. Sadly, I could not e...
